Sharon Elson (45), a registered nurse, is the youngest of 8 children, and is close
to her family. A conscientious, responsible person, she would never go off without
telling her family.
So when Sharon Elson disappears, police deem it a "suspicious" disappearance.

She was very responsible and would not have taken off without telling anyone."
Just like her brother Herrol, and her sister Winnifred, Sharon studies to become
a nurse. In 2004, she is awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from
Barry University. Sharon is now a state licensed Registered Nurse.
When her brother Herrol Elson's wife dies, Sharon moved in and helped him raise
his daughters, her nieces, even though she is attending college.
"She was the sweetest person to anybody you could ever find. She was
a small-framed person and when she would go out with the girls, people
thought the three were sisters because they got along so well."
A few weeks before Sharon disappears, a family gathering is held and Sharon is in
"Nothing seemed strange. She was her happy self."
"Sharon was religious. She never married, and had broken up with a boyfriend
18 months ago."
2010 - May 11 - Sharon Elson pays her rent and leaves her apartment, and vanishes.
Her family reports her missing.

"Elson is a petite woman, just 5 feet tall and 120 pounds, who works for Humana
Insurance in Doral in Miami-Dade County."
"Her front door was unlocked and her personal belongings were undisturbed,
including her car, keys and cell phone, Though there are no signs of foul play,
investigators consider Elson's disappearance to be suspicious."
MATRIARCH OF THE FAMILY PASSES
2010 - July - Caroline Elson (86), of Jamaica, mother of 8 children,
including Herrol, Winnifred and Sharon, passes away.
She dies without knowing the fate of her youngest
HUMAN REMAINS FOUND
2010 - July 19 - People fishing in shallow water near a canal near I- 95 and Hollywood
Boulevard notice bones, human bones. They notify police.
Hollywood police divers recover additional remains in the shallow water
and fom an underground pipe that feeds the canal.
"Before our sister's remains were identified, there were some good days, but a lot
of bad days. We kept saying to ourselves that she would just show up."
REMAINS ARE IDENTIFIED
The human remains found are identified as Sharon Elson. No cause of death is
been determined in the case,
"I think someone murdered my baby sister."
"Sharon could swim. She would not have drowned herself unless somebody
held her in that water. I don't believe for a minute that she would kill herself."
"I'm haunted by Sharon's final moments. I have many questions.
I wonder, how did they do it? Did she suffer? "I have no idea how her body
ended up in that pipe."
" I don't want somebody to get away with murder."
"I think somebody saw something, or knew something. No matter how minor they
think it is, they should come forward."
